The Farms
Mexico Chiapas is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Grupo de Asesores de Producción Orgánica y Sustentables (GRAPOS), a farmers group operating in the municipalities of Unión Juárez, Cacahoatan, and Tapachula located within the state of Chiapas, Mexico.
Our Peru is a women’s produced coffee is sourced from 124 women producers organized around the Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros de la Cuenca del Rio Marañón (APROCCURMA), which operates in the providence of Rodríguez de Mendoza, Peru. Women at origin, who represent a large percentage of the labor input for the coffee industry, earn very little from the revenue generated because very few women own the land utilized for coffee production. For the past five years, APROCCURMA has working directly with women producers, to establish land ownership and then provide training on organic management and environmental practices. This lot is a result of those efforts, which will provide women producers with the revenue generated from coffee production on farms owned and managed by women.
